My name is Helen Edwards. I qualified as a counsellor in 2015 with the CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Integrative Therapeutic Counselling. This means I am trained in all styles and types of counselling which allows me to tailor our sessions to your individual needs. I have experience in both short and long term counselling with young primary school aged children, teenagers and adults alike.
I had my own personal experience of counselling approximately ten years ago during a difficult time in my life. I remember being sceptical and cautious and wasn’t really sure what to expect. I was, however, delighted to find that counselling was a relaxed, friendly, supportive experience and my mind was put at ease. It was invaluable to have someone listen and support me. I learned many helpful techniques and learned an awful lot about myself which helped me cope with some of the difficulties I had been facing. Most importantly I learned about self care and how I needed to look after myself in the future.
This awakening had such a profound effect on me that I decided I wanted to be a counsellor and help others to benefit the way I had. I enrolled onto my first introductory counselling course and needless to say, I never looked back!
I would love to be part of helping you take the next few steps.
Come and see me for a face-to-face or virtual initial 30 minute appointment, without any obligation for further sessions.![]()
